Cilla was a Consultant Psychiatrist in Bristol and retired three years ago.
She was a general adult psychiatrist but also specialised in eating disorders and for a short time in gender dysphoria. Most of her patients were teenagers and young adults so she has a wide experience of the problems that may face those in this age group. She joined the Council of Management of the BOVTS in March with a view to providing support and advice on how to help any student who may be experiencing stress or any other mental health issue.
She is also a governor for an Academy school in the south of Bristol where she has particular responsibility for special needs. She has had a life long interest in drama and theatre both as a participant and onlooker.
She sings in a local choir and her other interests include opera, music, learning a foreign language, reading and sport.
