Summer Term 2022:

This term we will be reinventing the classic fairy tale, Hansel & Gretel! Students will have the task of re-telling the story in their own way, crafting themselves some costumes and getting stuck into prop making! The end of the term will see a short performance for family and friends to showcase the creativity demonstrated over the past ten weeks.

Each group will have two current BOVTS second year students as their main tutors and there will be a Theatre Makers Manager to supervise the running of the day. The students will be from across our degree courses, from acting through to production arts, to ensure that the skills passed on are current and from the best possible source.

Bursaries

Partial bursaries are available for our Young Artists.

All applications for bursary places will be considered and there are many criteria we use to assess applicants. These include, but are not limited to: applicants in financial hardship; disabled applicants; applicants from low areas of progression to higher education; applicants in care/care leavers or groups of people who are considered ‘hard to reach’.

Bursary applications for the spring term are now closed, but please click here to read our policy.

Headshot of Head of Performance Design
Working relationships made at BOVTS often extend beyond the course, design commission rates are excellent, it’s fantastic to see the graduates embracing successful and rewarding careers as Performance Designers in a professional environment. Angela Davies, Head of Performance Design
