Overview
BOVTS Masterclasses for adults commenced in 2022, offering a series of masterclasses for professionals in the performance industry
The industry is changing and BOVTS is here to equip actors with the toolkit for launching a successful career. The majority of professional castings now require auditionees to self-tape prior to a meeting, and mastering this skill could make a huge difference to your success rate.
During a seven-hour masterclass in the setting of BOVTS’ iconic Downside Road site, industry experts will teach you about the art of self-taping. You will be armed with the required skills to produce a quality, clear and effective performance for your audition panel.
- 9.30am – 11.30pm Session 1 (2 hours)
- 11.45pm – 1.15pm Session 2 (90 minutes)
- 1.45 – 3.45pm Session 3 (2 hours)
- 4.00pm – 5.30pm Session 4 (90 minutes)
This session is perfect for actors looking to boost their success rate, as well as those auditioning for drama school courses that require a self-tape. Cost £80 – applications close Fri 7 Oct.

Short courses refund policy
What is the refund policy?
Bristol Old Vic Theatre School uses Eventbrite as a third party ticket supplier for our youth and short courses. Eventbrite booking fees are non-refundable. The two exceptions to this case are: an event is cancelled or when the buyer was charged multiple times in error and requests a refund within 7 days of purchase.
Any refunds will return to the attendee’s original payment method within 5-7 business days. If the refund goes to a cancelled or expired card, the attendee will need to contact their bank or credit card company for help.
If you wish to cancel your place on the course the School must be made aware of your request one week before the start of the course.
