Overview

Navigating this industry can be hard, and having the tools to support yourself can make all the difference. Between January and September, join us for three Industry Survival workshops; meet other performers and discuss strategies to help you refresh and relaunch yourself.

Workshop 1 (Sat 14 Jan 2023): Surviving the Audition Room

This workshop will take you through how to claim your space in the audition room, shed imposter syndrome and make the most of your opportunity. You will discover the importance of self-care and ways to practice this pre- and post-audition. There will also be tips on how to maintain a healthy body and mind as a member of this industry. This course is aimed at actors and will look at theatre auditions as well as in person camera auditions.

Students relaxing outside of the School
The School is in a beautiful part of Bristol, overlooking a huge park called the Downs. We sometimes take advantage of our close proximity to the Downs during the summer term, practising fight and dance routines, or voice or singing classes! Dan Hall, BA Professional Acting student
