We welcome applications from students with special needs. Applicants should provide full and accurate details of their needs and we may ask you to come to the school for an interview before acceptance onto the course.

SHORT ACTING COURSES FOR 17YRS+

ACTING AYCKBOURN - £450 PER WEEK

Course Details:

Intensive week-long course in professional acting, especially designed to sharpen and broaden your acting techniques and skills.

Sir Alan Ayckbourn is undoubtedly our most successful and prolific playwright with over 70 plays produced. His understanding, caustic wit and skill in exposing human nature are excellent.

Acting in his plays requires not only a deep comprehension of the human condition but also supreme skill in creating a character, truthful delivery and comic timing. Enjoy an intensive week with us exploring his works and receive expert guidance and insights from the guest masterclass.

ACTING SHAKESPEARE - £450 PER WEEK

Course Details:

Intensive week-long course in professional acting, especially designed to sharpen and broaden your acting techniques and skills.

Shakespeare is arguably "one of the greatest geniuses that ever existed". Our aim in this year of Shakespeare's 400th anniversary is to make his work accessible to all.

We will explore the vagaries and complexities of the language in order to expose the brilliant characters, fantastic stories and emotional realities that have made Shakespeare the world's most celebrated playwright.

General information:

The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School is a leading British drama school and our standards are professional and exacting. We encourage you to commit fully to the demands of the course and present and conduct yourself accordingly. We will inform you which play you will be working on no later than one week prior to the commencement of the course. Please be aware that rehearsals can sometimes overrun and go on longer than timetabled.

The normal day is from 10am to 6pm

Cost - £450 PER WEEK

Course details:

A five day singing course to develop and explore your singing voice, giving you technical tips to strengthen your voice, extend your range, and give you greater confidence in your singing voice.

We will look at a wide range of repertoire and styles through group singing, with optional opportunities for solo work.

An unmissable chance to come and sing, explore, and have fun!

ACTING FOR CAMERA SHORT COURSES 2017: Dates TBC

All £395 per three day course

An exciting three day intensive course working with industry professionals

The course culminates in the shooting of a scene with a professional director and crew for use in your showreel. You will receive a personalised DVD and Data Disc of your scene.

Spaces are limited to 6 per course with a student/staff ration of 3 to 1

The normal day is from 10am to 6pm
